Samsung could use Exynos 2500 for Galaxy Z Flip 7 for cost-cutting

Earlier this year, Samsung’s latest processor Exynoss reportedly revealed, the chipset is set to be based on 3nm fabrication as the chipset is same fabrication like snapdragon 8 elite so it was earlier rumoured to be available for next foldables including Galaxy Z Flip 7 and fold 7, now with the latest report it is certainly confirmed to arrived with the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Why is Samsung choosing Exynos 2500 over Snapdragon?

According to the report by Chosun Biz, Galaxy Z Flip 7 will include Exynos 2500 Soc, and further the report states that Samsung will start the mass production of the chipset from May and complete it by June.

Samsung is planning to bring its next flip smartphone with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, following the previous pattern. The device is supposed to be available with Snapdragon 8 elite as it arrived with the Galaxy S25 series, but this time Samsung could choose the Exynos.

The reason behind it is also stated by reports that the company is choosing Exynos for price cutting as Qualcomm is third party so it gives the chisets to the company an expensive rate while with a home chipset, Exynos gives full control for pricing and gets bigger margins.

Talking about Exynos 2500, earlier reports suggest that the Soc could have a deca-core CPU including 1x Cortex-X925, 7x Cortex-A725, 2x Cortex-A520, and an Xclipse 950 GPU. It is clocked at 1.3GHz and has 8 workgroup processors. The chip supports 9.6 Gbps 16-bit quad channel LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.x storage.
