Latest One UI 8 Beta Suggests Now Brief Won’t Expand to S23, Fold 5, Flip 5

Samsung first introduced Now Brief on the Galaxy S25 series that arrived with Android 15-based One UI 7 on board. Since the company has already announced plans to expand the features to older devices, at least for the Galaxy S24 family, a sign shows that the S23 series alongside other older devices will not be receiving this feature.

Basically, last month, Samsung opened up the latest One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series, and the models have received 3 beta builds so far.

Most prominently, the second One UI 8 beta added Now Brief, a stunning AI-powered feature that offers briefs and various useful suggestions all throughout the day, while also keeping the insights protected via Samsung Knox Vault within the Galaxy S24 series.

No Now Brief in One UI 8 Beta 2, S23 & Fold 5/Flip 5 Users Left Out

Indeed Now Brief is an amazing feature, but it looks like Samsung is in no mood to expand to more Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy S23 series or the Z Fold 5 and Flip 5.

Specifically, Samsung has released the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S23 series, but neither the first nor the second beta builds introduced the Now Brief feature. On the other hand, even the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 models also received two One UI 8 betas, but neither of the two brought the Now Brief feature.

Therefore, it eventually suggests that Samsung is perhaps looking towards keeping the Now Brief feature limited to the high-end flagships, the Galaxy S25 series and the S24 family. And thus, the Now Brief feature will not be expanded to other older-generation Galaxy devices, other than the two flagships, the S25 and S24.
