Samsung is now adding one more device to the December 2022 security update list; the Korean giant is seamlessly updating its devices over the past few weeks, as compared to the previous month, the latest security update is introduced very late because nowadays the company is also busy in rolling out the Android 13 update.

Users who own the Galaxy Z Flip 4 device can identify the December 2022 update by checking the firmware version number F721U1UEU1BVKB. Currently, the update is available in the US for the unlocked variant. However, it is expected that the update should come in other countries in the next few days.

The December 2022 security update includes several patches which fix most of the security-related issues reported previously; the update also includes lots of improvements that give your working of the device and enhances the device’s stability.

December 2022 Security Patch Fixed These Vulnerabilities:

According to the Samsung documentation, the latest patches include the fix to as many as 93 vulnerabilities, 67 of them common to (almost) all Android devices. Of the long list, 5 vulnerabilities are defined as critical, 63 high priority, and 12 moderate. Most of these vulnerabilities affect Galaxy smartphones and tablets with Android 10, Android 11, and Android 12, but some also touch the latest version of the robot. Among the latter, one concerns the RCS system, which would allow malicious actors to access the phone number of an incoming call. It also required action on the vulnerability that would allow access to the contents of the toast notifications of the Personal Area through the Nice Catch app (it is part of the Good Lock package).

Galaxy Z Flip 4 was launched in august this year, it comes with Android 12 out of the box, and recently, the device has received a major Android OS update as Android 13 based One UI 5.0. According to Samsung policy, the device is eligible for 4 android updates and five-year security updates.
