Galaxy Note 20 gets Android 13 (One UI 5.0) in Australia

Samsung is now expanding the Android 13 update Galaxy devices, which are available in different regions, and with this expansion, Galaxy Note20 series devices are also getting the support of One UI 5.0-based Android 13. As of now, the update is available in Australia.

Users who own Galaxy Note 20 series devices can identify the Android 13 update by the firmware version number N981BXXU5GVL2 and N986BXXU5GVL2 for Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, respectively, the latest update includes the December 2022 security update. As said earlier, the update is currently rolling out in Australia, and with this update, Samsung has covered most of the regions, but if you are residing in the region where you still don’t receive the Android 13 update for your device, wait for some time, the company will surely release the update soon.

According to Samsung’s official changelog, the One UI 5.0 includes several new enhancements regarding the user interface; there are some new features added under inbuilt apps, including a camera, Gallery, photo and video editor, and more. The new One UI update also includes new interesting customization tools which can be easily accessible through the lock screen. Additionally, it also includes some improvements for the existing features, including RAM Plus, Auto optimization, SOS, and more.

Verizon locked Galaxy Tab A9+ and Galaxy Tab S9+ gets April 2024 security update

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Tab A9+ are the latest tables in their lineups. The Korean giant introduced them last year, and both tablet series came with Android 13. Later, they will have already received a major update in the form of Android 14. Now, following the software update policy, both of the devices are getting the April 2024 security patch update.

The locked variants of the Galaxy Tab S9+ and Galaxy Tab A9+ are getting the April 2024 security patch update with the firmware version numbers X218USQS1BXD1 and X818USQS2BXD2, respectively. The Verizon network has received the update for these devices as of writing.

According to the information, the April 2024 security patch is a standard security patch that doesn’t bring any special changes that could impact the experience of the devices, but it will provide some enhancements that could improve the security of the devices.

Samsung sending April 2024 update for the Galaxy Tab S7 Series

After introducing the April 2024 security patch update to flagship device tables, including the Galaxy Tab S9 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series, the company has now started rolling out the update to older tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S7 series.

Notably, the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ are getting the update with the firmware version number DXD1 (last letters). With the latest update, the drive is getting some enhancements for security, which will make the device less vulnerable to external threats.

Going to the details, Google has added 27 patches that will improve the overall security of the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung has also added 17 more patches that exclusively improve Galaxy devices’ functionality.
