Samsung has updated its devices with Android 13 as per the timeline and initially introduced the update to the high-end devices of the S series and Z series segment in several regions. However, on the other hand, in the US market, the carrier-locked variant of some Galaxy devices, including Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Fold 3, Z Flip 4, Flip 3, and Galaxy S21 series, is receiving one month older firmware in the form of December 2022 security patch. As of now, these devices are getting the latest update on the T- Mobile network.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Fold 3
Samsung has introduced these devices as the latest generation of the foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Fold 4 was released in 2022 and comes with Android 12 on board; the predecessor device is one year older and was introduced in 2021 and comes with Android 11 preinstalled. However, both of the devices received the Android 13 at the starting week of January 2023; now, the devices are quickly receiving one more firmware update in the form of a December 2022 security patch.
