The Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S21 FE are Samsung’s premium flagship devices at their release time. But as time passes, these devices no longer have that flagship tag, the fan edition of Galaxy S21 was launched in 2022, which is not that old, but the Korean giant introduced its new generation S series devices as Galaxy S22 just after the launch. While the Note 20 series devices were launched way before, they are approximately three years older devices now and end support the major Android OS update after Android 13. But as a responsible company, Samsung is keeping its promise and updating these devices with new updates.

Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra’s New Update

The Galaxy Note 20 series was launched in 2020, the device comes with Android 10, which has recently received the Android 13 update, and it was the final major update for this device. However, Samsung is still serving January 2023 security updates for the device, and now the same security update is available for the device. The latest update brings the year’s first security update in the form of January 2023. However, US-unlocked Galaxy Note 20 series units already updated to the latest January 2023 security patch a week ago.

Galaxy Note 20 could still receive the One UI 5.1

New Update for Galaxy S21 FE: January 2023 Security Patch

But, at the time of security updates, Samsung is very unpredictable; still, the company is updating the Fan edition after a very long gap after the original series. As of now, the Galaxy S21 FE is receiving the January 2023 update with version number G990EXXS3DWA2 in Brazil.
