Samsung Galaxy’s these 22 preinstalled apps can be delete

Published

on

When you purchase a new Samsung Galaxy phone, it comes with a variety of preinstalled apps, which are often referred to as “bloatware.” While some of these apps can be useful, many of them are unnecessary and can take up valuable storage space and slow down your device. The good news is that you can uninstall many of these preinstalled apps from your Samsung Galaxy, freeing up space and customizing your device to your preferences.

In addition to uninstalling preinstalled apps on your Samsung Galaxy phone, it’s also important to take steps to avoid installing bloatware in the first place. One way to do this is to carefully review the list of apps that come preinstalled on the phone before setup.

During these processes, you will be prompted to choose which extra apps you want to download. Take your time and deselect the apps that don’t interest you since they are all already selected by default.

It’s worth noting that some of the preinstalled apps on Samsung Galaxy phones may be alternative versions of popular Google apps, such as Samsung Internet instead of Chrome or Samsung Notes instead of Google Keep. While some users may prefer these Samsung alternatives, others may prefer to use the Google apps they are familiar with.

If you don’t want to use Samsung’s preinstalled alternatives to Google apps, there are many fantastic alternatives available for download on the Google Play Store. For example, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Opera are all popular alternatives to Chrome, while apps like OneDrive, Dropbox, and Box can serve as alternatives to Google Drive.

By choosing alternative apps that better suit your needs and preferences, you can further customize your Samsung Galaxy phone and create a device that works best for you.

WhatsApp is adding an extra layer of privacy and security settings to update its Terms of Service as well as privacy policies.

WhatsApp users belonging to Europe should pay attention here! WhatsApp has announced that it is upgrading the Terms of Service and Privacy Policies for users located in Europe. The company introduced these changes after the introduction of two new EU regulations, which are the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act.

Meta-owned WhatsApp stated that it will add more details regarding its terms regarding various guidelines and regulations, which will dictate what is and is not allowed to be done within the application.

As per the new law established in Europe, the DMA stands for Digital Markets Act, which needs messaging applications such as WhatsApp to work with other applications. This means that users will have the power to send messages to people using different applications, and end-to-end encryption will keep the messages private. More details regarding how this will function, particularly with WhatsApp, are arriving soon.

It appears that changes will be made to the technique for transferring international data. More specifically for European users, WhatsApp will focus on the new EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Apart from all, the noticeable fact is that the minimum age for messaging services will be reduced from 16 to 13 years within the European country.

As per the developers of services, this update will make sure that the minimum age needs are met, which are constant internationally. Also, privacy will not be compromised at any cost, and personal calls as well as messages will also remain protected by end-to-end encryption, so no one else can view their content.

This update will come into existence on April 11, 2024, for users who already signed up for the messaging service before February 16. Also, those who don’t want this update or avoid accepting the new regulations introduced can request information or delete their account directly.

WhatsApp Lets Users Set HD as Default Photo Quality

WhatsApp is a widely used platform across the world. The reason behind its popularity is its convenience; it provides an easy interface for communication, whether it’s via voice call or text. However, communication is not only the main reason, but it’s also more utility functions, which include file sharing, especially image and video sharing. From the beginning, the application automatically compares them to lower quality for easy sharing, but at the same time, it produces a bad impression on the users.

To get rid of file compression, the company has recently introduced the option to send the photos in HD quality, which means users can now share the files in their original form without compromising quality.

To use this option, you just need to select any image or video in the chat window of the receiver, and then it will provide a new option on the top as ‘HD’. When you click on it, a popup box will appear, asking you to select any of the options between standard quality and HD quality. Now, to make it more convenient, you also set the HD resolution as the default.  According to WABetaInfo, this new function arrives with the new WhatsApp beta version number 2.24.5.6.

As the feature is spotted in the beta version, it is obvious that it will be available for the limited users who have already enrolled in the beta program. If you also want to be part of the beta testing, then you can easily join it by following these simple steps: First, open the Play Store, then go to the WhatsApp app page here and tap on the join button. Once you join, you will get an update. Once testing is done, it will also be available for the stable update for all users.
