The Galaxy S23 Ultra is the latest addition to Samsung’s flagship smartphone lineup and boasts several impressive features. However, one of the standout features of this device is its exceptional battery life, which outperforms other smartphones in the ultra-premium segment, including the iPhone.

DxOMark, a trusted benchmarking website, has compared the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with other premium devices on the market. The results showed that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s battery life outperforms its closest competitors, including the iPhone.

Galaxy S23 Ultra is the new Battery King

Key specifications:

  • Battery capacity: 5000 mAh
  • 45W charger (not included)
  • 6.8-inch, 1440 x 3088, 120 Hz, OLED display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)

According to DxOMark’s testing, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra offers a significantly longer battery life than the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the OnePlus 10 Pro, and the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra. This is a testament to the device’s impressive battery capacity and optimized power management technology.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is still among the top performers, despite ranking 6th in the global ranking behind HONOR Magic5 Lite 5G, HONOR X7a, OPPO Reno6 5G, Realme GT Neo 2 5G, and HONOR X9a. However, what’s more, impressive is that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra ranks higher than all iPhones on the market.

As per DxOMark’s testing, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra can last an impressive 2 days and 19 hours on a single charge, making it one of the longest-lasting smartphones in the market. However, in real-world usage, the battery life may vary based on individual usage patterns. It showed that the device was rated “Excellent” when watching videos but received lower scores for other activities, such as using the camera or listening to music.

Galaxy Z Fold 6’s Latest Image Leak Highlights Wider Cover Screen and Thinner Bezels

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is the active part of leaks and rumors in the tech market for now. A new leak is showcasing the Galaxy Z Fold 6 from the back. Let’s take a closer look at the leaked design.

Recently, the leaks suggested the Galaxy Z Fold 6 from the front side, and now the new leak reveals the back design of the phone. However, in both leaks, the overall design does not appear, but that’s enough to confirm some of what we have heard regarding the design of the upcoming foldable so far.

Noticeably, this new leak confirms a new ridged design for the rings that surround the rear-facing camera lenses. This ridged design was first seen in a leaked photo of one of the camera lenses a couple of days ago, and it slightly looks cheap and completely out of place on a flagship smartphone that will cost over $1500. The leaked image also seems to be wider than existing Galaxy Z Fold devices. This suggests that Samsung is working on offering a bigger display.

It is reported that the Korean giant is keeping the big display size upgrade for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim models that are expected to debut alongside the standard Z Fold 6 by the end of this year. The first hands-on image of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 shows that the Korean giant will introduce something Galaxy Z Fold users have demanded for years.

The forthcoming foldable phone has a wider cover screen than the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Previously, the rear camera design leaked, and now a well-reliable tipster, Ice Universe, has shared the first full image of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It suggests the phone will have a wider cover screen and sharper edges on both the phone’s body and the cover screen than the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Reportedly, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to feature a foldable screen with a negligible visible crease and the same camera arrangement as the Galaxy Z Fold 5, so no major upgrades are expected. Samsung could power the device with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It could also have a titanium frame as well as Gorilla Glass Armor screen protection, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Samsung Prioritizes AI in 2024 Smartphone Lineup

Published

on

Samsung is dedicated to focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) in the upcoming phones of 2024; the key reason behind this is to lead the AI market.

Samsung is now looking forward to planning a significant change in strategy, as it is now positioning itself as a pioneer in AI technology and even wants to leave the traditional “smartphone” behind. The Korean giant has already taken legal action to register terms like “AI Smartphone” and “AI Phone” as trademarks, showing that it does not want to leave the traditional designations completely, even if a different posture is publicly held.

Samsung took an initial crucial step with the recently launched Galaxy S24 series, which brought a wave of AI functions under the title “Galaxy AI.” However, however in some scenarios, they rely on Google’s AI technology, and the Galaxy S24 boasts more AI functionality than Google’s own Pixel smartphones. Samsung executives reflect on its AI push as significant as the debut of the very first iPhone, highlighting their top hopes for the AI technology. A recent report from Korea hints that Samsung is even prioritizing its new AI strategy over the advancement of its camera technology.

With the world’s highest sales among Android manufacturers, the Korean giant is in a unique position to bring AI tools to a broad user base. The question of whether the term’smartphone’ is still up-to-date is rising under debate. Maybe “AI Phone” will be the new title. However, it will be interesting to see whether the Korean giant can meet the high expectations, especially when Google is presently trying hard for similar challenges.

For Samsung’s foldable enthusiasts, especially those who are eagerly waiting for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6, here’s a small glimpse for you.

Leaks and rumors always spoil the surprises regarding upcoming Galaxy devices that Samsung hides for its big events, such as Galaxy Unpacked. The same case has happened for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 unit since rumors unveiled a small glimpse of what looks like a real Galaxy Z Fold 6. A leaked image showcases the actual look of the device.

However, in the image, only the top of the smartphone is visible, so there’s not enough to guess more here, but something is better than nothing, as this image confirms that the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s design will be flatter and also have sharper edges and corners as compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It seems that the phone has a wider cover screen. That could just be a result of the angle at which the photo was taken, but there have been tons of indicators that Samsung is putting a certain extent of a of a larger cover display on the next Fold, and now the image appears to confirm that.

The Korean giant is also rumored to be working on a Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim that will have a fair measurement of larger displays on the inside and outside while also having a thinner profile. This variant is expected to arrive by the end of this year. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are on their way to make their debuts at the Galaxy Unpacked Event on July 10.
