Samsung brings a new update for the Galaxy Tab A8 as One UI 5.1 skin
Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy Tab A8. The latest update comes with a new upgraded One UI version 5.1 based on Android 13. It has already been available on several Galaxy devices and includes some new features and improvements for the Galaxy devices. Let’s see what it will bring to your device.
One UI 5.1 brings several new features and improvements
The latest update brings One UI 5.1, which is the latest upgrade of One UI. According to the official changelog, the latest update brings several features which are introduced under many system-level apps, including Camera, Gallery, modes and routines, weather, and Samsung Internet. There is some extra feature introduced that increases the utility of your device. Here we are talking about the new battery level widget – which is helpful in indicating the battery level of the smartphone and other connected devices. Availability of One UI 5.1 for Galaxy Tab A8
The latest update for Galaxy Tab A8 is now rolling out in two European countries, including Germany and the UK. The update also includes a three months older security update in the form of January 2023.

The Galaxy Tab A8 was launched back in 2021. It is one of the midrange segment tablets of Samsung. It came with Android 11; however, now the device has received Android 13. As of now, the device has received One UI 5.1 in several different countries. Being a budget device, it may no longer be eligible for any further major software updates. However, the device is still eligible for more software updates which will be available in the form of new security patches.
We are now at the end of April, but Samsung is still expanding the monthly update for the devices, even though it has rapidly distributed the update to almost all of them. This is due to server limitations, and now the company is rolling out the update for the Galaxy M33 5G and Galaxy A23 5G.
Notably, the Galaxy M33 5G and Galaxy A23 5G are getting an April 2024 security patch update with the firmware version numbers M336BXXS7DXD1 and A236BXXU5DXD6, respectively. With the latest update, these devices don’t get any significant changes but will enhance their security.
For your information, the April 2024 security patch update provides more than 40 fixes, whereas Google has added 27 fixes that address issues related to the Android OS. Meanwhile, Samsung has also added 17 more fixes that will improve the functioning of the Galaxy devices.

The company has stated that devices purchased in Germany and used in other countries, such as Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic, will not function in the 4G TDD band.
If you are using any of the above-mentioned smartphones in Europe, then you should start getting new updates. To install them on your device, simply go to the software update menu via the system settings, wait for the update, and then hide the download button that appears.
Samsung’s flagship device, the Galaxy S24, boasts all-new high-end hardware and software functionalities, but it still has some flaws, particularly in the camera department.
To improve the camera functionality, it has already introduced some updates, such as the April 2024 security patch update, which introduced many fixes and improvements. Now the company is planning to introduce one camera enhancement update.
Previously, the camera enhancement was supposed to be available with the May 2024 security patch update, but now, according to a popular tipter, @universeice, it is delayed and could be available for users in June.
However, there is no reason for the delay. Samsung might prefer to concentrate on rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to all eligible devices in May.
