The search engine giant Google has many applications, features, and services. One of these is Google Home, which lets us set up and control various devices, including Google Nest, Home speaker, Display, Chromecast, and Camera. The application has a dedicated camera page where we can view live cameras, but it is limited to a few models only. Now, Google is planning to expand the supported camera list.
Informatively, the Google Home app supported some Nest series camera models only, which the company itself launched. Besides, some Arlo, D-Link, and Lorex camera models are also included in the supported camera list, but users were still expecting much. From now on, you can get a live view of even more cameras than before. The supported camera list expansion is confirmed by some screenshots.
Notably, from now on, Google Home will support cameras of the below-listed brands.
- Reolink
- TP-Link Kasa
- Wyze
- Yi
- Tellur
- Tuya
- Xiaomi
- Nooie and more.
However, one thing is unclear, whether this expansion is a part of testing or it is a stable change, and the company is making it available for all eligible devices. As Google hasn’t shared any words in this regard yet, we can assume that they need a little more time. Whatever, this new change will surely proven beneficial for Google Home admirers, specifically when you want to keep an eye on various cameras.
