Last month, Samsung officially released One UI 6.0 beta program for the Galaxy S23 series, albeit only in China, India, Poland, Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the United States, which will allow users to have an even more personalized experience. As always, the manufacturer initially focuses on the latest S-series flagships and makes the Android 14 beta available for the Samsung Galaxy S23Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

However, the company is gradually expanding the availability of the One UI 6.0 beta to more devices. Now the company has also started distributing the firmware for its latest mid-range premium smartphone Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34.

As you can imagine, the update has introduced a number of new features, both from the point of view of design and features. One of the big changes in One UI 6 is that the customization layer is already based on Android 14, which will imply that the Samsung software is renewed twice, both by the operating system and by the customization layer. That means that there are a multitude of novelties in various aspects of the phone.

One UI 6 finally fixed the inaccurate system memory usage on Galaxy phones

To be part of the beta program, the user needs to open the Samsung Members app, click on the One UI banner and select the option to participate. When the registration is confirmed, just go to “Settings”, “Software Update” and “Download and Install”.

  • Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Z Flip 4

Samsung is actively preparing a One UI 6.0 beta program for remaining devices. Through this program, Galaxy smartphones users will have the opportunity to actively test the Android 14-based firmware prior to its official stable release.

Nota bene, we have prepared this list by looking at Samsung’s Update Policy and previous update program. It hasn’t been confirmed yet. Informatively, besides these devices, some Galaxy A and M series devices will also get this update.

Please only release lists you can confirm will receive the update. Don’t make speculative points if you are not for sure about which devices will receive them. Can you say when 100% certainty that these devices will receive them? If not please update this article.

Samsung has introduced Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update on the Galaxy S24 series which brings the Galaxy AI novelty, and then delivers it to 2023 high-end devices. Now the brand is all set to expand the range of updates by delivering it to more devices including Galaxy S22 series, fourth generation foldable, and Galaxy Tab S8 series.

Samsung has rolled out the One UI 6.1 update yet for nine Galaxy devices, now the reports are unveiling that the giant is all set to release this update on May 3rd in Canada for the list of Galaxy devices mentioned below –

  • Galaxy S22
  • Galaxy S22+
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4

This is being speculated by a Canadian network carrier, Fido, which is stating that the latest update is scheduled to be available for these devices on 3rd May in Canada. This update will bring the April 2024 security patch plus it is also expected to introduce the One UI 6.1 features.

Unfortunately, it should be noted that the Fido database does not provide further details and, therefore, at the moment there are no guarantees that the update to which the operator refers is own One UI 6.1, as it can also be an update with monthly security patches.

However, the Korean giant has not officially confirmed the exact date for the  Android 14-based One UI 6.1 release yet for these devices, but has already announced that soon it will happen in early May. Transparently, this update is much anticipated, since it will offer multiple generative AI features to these devices; for instance Circle to Search, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, and many more, and all of these are expected to arrive on Galaxy S22 series and rest of the devices mentioned above.

Noticeably, one Galaxy AI feature named Instant Slow-Mo is not arriving with this update for these devices, since this feature requires a powerful GPU and NPU, so bringing this feature to each Galaxy device is not possible.

The company has published that it will start rolling out the dedicated update for the devices in early May; however, it hasn’t mentioned the exact date, but it looks like after completing the April 2024 update, it may immediately start providing the One UI 6.1 update.

Earlier, there was some doubt if Samsung would provide every AI feature to the older devices, which are spotted on other high-end devices, or make some restrictions on them. However, now, the company has cleared the doubt and confirmed that it will provide several Galay AI features, such as Circle to searchChat AssistInterpreterLive Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion, and AI-generated wallpaper.

Meanwhile, users can also benefit from several productivity and information-accessible AI features, such as Circle to Search, which enables users to instantly take information about any object on the screen.
