Image Clipper feature now arrived on Galaxy Z Flip 5G in the US
Samsung unveiled a very anticipated feature, Image Clipper, in Galaxy S23, and later the company took the decision to expand the feature to more Galaxy devices. The company has included this feature with the April 2023 security update; however, this is only available for select devices, and now it is coming to Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
The April 2023 security update for Galaxy Z Flip 5G is now available for both of the variants, including carrier locked and unlocked. For the locked variant of Galaxy Z Flip 5G, the update is rolling out on T-Mobile and Sprint networks. More carriers will release the update soon.
Meanwhile, the unlocked variant of Galaxy Z Flip 5G is getting the new update on several networks, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Verizon, Xfinity Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, AT&T, US Cellular, Cricket Wireless, Cellular South US, Bluegrass Cellular, and Sprint.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is currently enjoying monthly security updates with a frequency of one update per month, but as per Samsung’s past strategy, which company reduce the frequency of the software updates. So it might be possible that this device also demoted to quarterly updates from the next year.

Users who own carrier-locked units affiliated with the above-mentioned network can identify the latest update by the firmware version number F707USQU4HWD1. The unlocked variant of Galaxy Z Flip 5G is getting the update with firmware version number F707U1UEU4HWD1.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is one of the oldest foldable devices, which was released back in 2020. It was equipped with Android 10. Later it received three more Android updates, and currently, it is running on Android 13. With Android 13, the device is now no longer eligible for any further major updates; however, it will continue to receive some minor software updates that will come with some security-related enhancements.
