Samsung has rolled out a May 2023 security update to several Galaxy devices. Initially, the company expanded the update to the flagship devices, and then, as usual, the company pushed the update to Galaxy A series devices. In this series, the Korean giant rolled out the update to premium devices such as Galaxy A53, Galaxy A52, and many more.
Now, continuing the streak, the May 2023 update is available for the Galaxy A22 5G device. Currently, the update is rolling out in several Latin American countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, and Uruguay.
The latest update for Galaxy A22 5G comes with a new firmware version number A226BRUBS5DWE1. As said earlier, the update includes the May 2023 security update, which brings some new security patches that aim to enhance the overall security of the device.

Apart from this, the device has Android 11 preinstalled. Later it received two more major updates, Android 12 and Android 13. As Samsung has promised to give at least three Android updates to its midrange devices, the Galaxy A22 5G will get its last Android update as One UI 6.0 based on Android 14.
