BMW drivers can now use Galaxy phones to unlock their cars in Brazil

Samsung has expanded its wallet app to many countries, which offer various services related to finance and some utility options like storing boarding passes and Digital keys. Among these options, some are limited to select countries, but now Samsung is gradually expanding it to new countries. Like now, the Digital key option is available in Brazil.

The Digital key option offers the facility to store the key details in the app so you can lock or unlock the car with a single tap. The facility is now available for the BMW cars on sect models including 320i, 330e, 420i, 530e, X1, X3, X4, X6, M3, X6M, i4, iX3, and iX.

One UI 6.0 will have live caption and full screen files drag & features

Ensuring safety, Samsung said that the digital car key is in the Embedded Security Element(eSE), which protects the user’s car sensitive information with encryption keys. Further, the company explains that the feature works on NFC and UWB(Ultra Wideband) technology that enables users to unlock or lock the car from a short distance.

Additionally, the Digital Car key works more accurately through UWB technology as it prevents car key information from being attacked through radio signal interpretation.
