The Galaxy S23 Series, the most recent iteration of Samsung’s S-Series phone, was announced in 2023. One of the variants, the S23 Ultra, distinguished itself from the S22 Ultra with a 200MP camera in the place of the latter’s 108MP sensor. Rumors stated that the next Galaxy S24 Ultra would concentrate on improving its zoom capabilities while other hardware elements remain mostly the same.

Recent information from reliable source Ice Universe revealed on Twitter that the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s camera has just undergone a slight adjustment of 10x zoom and has not received any substantial advanced improvements. This assertion is supported by the leaked picture, which shows the S24 Ultra’s powerful 200MP camera. In order to set the scene, Samsung included a 5x telephoto lens in the Note 20 Ultra in the year 2020.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: camera doubts and high expectations

Further, the 3x 10MP telephoto lens has remained the same in later versions like the Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S22 Ultra, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Galaxy S24 is also anticipated to include more RAM and storage space, as well as longer battery life. Additionally, it is thought that the smartphone will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is expected to make its debut at the next Snapdragon Summit 2023, which will start on October 24.

If this information is accurate, the performance of 10x Zoom may see significant improvements. The additional camera quality enhancements on the Galaxy S24 Ultra could only be made better by software and processing. Regarding the cameras in the Galaxy S24 or Galaxy 24 Plus, no information has been made public. Nevertheless, if the most potent gadget in the line fails to significantly enhance the camera, the same may be said about the other two models in the lineup.

Samsung One UI 6.0 (Android 14) Eligible and Ineligible Galaxy Smartphones

As an Ice Universe says, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra should boast the same 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2 sensor for the primary camera, as well as the same 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX564 and 12-megapixel Sony IMX754 sensors for the 3x zoom telephoto lens. The only sensor that should improve seems to be the telephoto lens with 10x zoom, and the choice of the manufacturer would fall on the 12-megapixel Sony IMX754+.
