Samsung started rolling out June 2023 update the last week, but the company hasn’t given the update to its two flagship devices, Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S21, in the initial phase. But finally, the company has expanded the update for Galaxy S21 series devices for the European units.

The Galaxy S21 series has three models, including Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Currently, the update for these devices is live in Europe, which means it will reach all the devices gradually. Users who own any of the Galaxy S21 series can identify the latest update by the firmware version number G99*BXXU8EWF1.

The latest update includes the June 2023 security patch, which comes with over 60 vulnerabilities fixes that improve the overall security of the device. The update is available in under 400 MB software packages for the devices. Currently, the update is spotted in Switzerland, which will be expanded all over Europe in the next few days.

Samsung should make these major changes in One UI 6.0 with Android 14

For your information, the Galaxy S21 series devices are eligible for monthly updates, which means they will at least get one update per month; however, at times, these also get more than one update in a month in the form of extra maintenance updates or any major UI update.

The Galaxy S21 was launched back in 2021; the device has come with Android 11 preinstalled. Later, the device received two more security updates in the form of Android 12 and Android 13 sequentially. According to the policy, which was updated by Samsung in 2022, the device will be eligible for four major updates and five-year security support, which means users will get software updates till 2026.
