Samsung has made significant progress in completing the July 2023 security update for its devices, but there are still some devices awaiting the update. The company is now expanding the rollout of the July 2023 security update to include devices such as the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 Series, Galaxy Z Fold4, and Galaxy Z Flip4 in Canada.
The official changelog for the June update indicates that it primarily brings performance and security improvements without introducing any significant changes to the device. It is essentially a general security patch update aimed at enhancing device security.

Notably, all the mentioned devices in Canada are receiving the new update. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra will receive the update with firmware versions S901WVLS3CWF2, S906WVLS3CWF2, and S908WVLS3CWF2, respectively.
The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra are receiving the July 2023 security patch with firmware versions G991WVLS8EWF1, G996WVLS8EWF1, and G998WVLS8EWF1. As for the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4, they will receive the new update with firmware versions F936WVLS3CWF2 and F721WVLS3CWF2, respectively.
The main highlight of the July 2023 security patch is that it addresses over 90 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version, but it does not introduce any new features or performance improvements. Its primary focus is on ensuring the devices are more secure and protected against potential threats.
