Samsung brings the August 2023 update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G

Samsung is now constantly rolling out new updates to its Galaxy devices, which are eligible for monthly security updates. In a very short time, the company has rolled out the August 2023 security patch to several Galaxy devices and is continuously expanding it. Previously,  the Galaxy S20 FE got the update, and now the 5G variant is getting the update.

Currently, the latest August 2023 security update is now rolling out in several Latin American countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, and Trinidad And Tobago. It is expected that it will be expanded to more countries in the next few days.

The latest update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is now available with firmware version number G781BXXS7HWG9. It brings a total of 85 fixes for the different security vulnerabilities found on Galaxy devices.

If you are the owner of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G and belong to any of the above-mentioned countries, you should receive a notification of the update on your device, but if you didn’t get the notification yet, you can also check it manually by going to the software update menu through System Settings.

The Galaxy S20 FE was launched in 2020; the device came with Android 10 preinstalled. However, later it received new updates in the form of a new Android 13 like this; it will get more Android updates in the next couple of years in the form of security updates, but no major updates will be available for the device.
