The Samsung Galaxy S23 is the latest flagship device from Samsung, and the device is the top contender for getting the One UI 6.0 beta update. But instead of releasing the new One UI skin, the company is now pushing another big update, a new August security patch.
Notably, the latest security patch is now rolling out in Thailand. Users who own the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can identify the latest update by these firmware version numbers: S911BXXU3AWGJ, S916BXXU3AWGJ, and S918BXXU3AWGJ, respectively.
Going to the changelog, Samsung doesn’t reveal anything specifically. The changelog comes with copy-paste wording from other security patches, which says that your device will improve in stability and reliability.
As the update brings a new security patch, it is obvious that it will improve the security of the device. For your information, the August 2023 security patch includes 60 patches by Google that fix vulnerabilities found in the devices. Along with these, Samsung has also added 35 more patches that improve the security of the Galaxy devices.
It is worth noticing that the August update comes in a massive size of 1.4 GB. It seems that the new iteration includes some significant things that may be discovered by installing the update on the device; however, for now, there is no specific information about the changes in the update.
Users who own Galaxy S23 devices can easily install the latest update by going to the settings and then the software update menu. Once you see that an update is available for your device, just hit the download button to update your device.
