Samsung brings August 2023 update to the Galaxy A14 5G and M14 5G

Samsung has rolled out August 2023 security to its budget smartphones, including the Galaxy A14 5G and Galaxy M14 5G devices. Both of the devices Both of the devices almost come with the same specifications; the main difference between them is the battery capacity and how design looks. Now the company is treating them the same in the new software update as well.

Notably, the August 2023 security patch is now live in India. Users who own the Galaxy A14 5G can identify the latest update by the firmware version number A146BXXS2BWH2. The Galaxy M14 5G is getting an update with firmware version number M146BXXS2AWH3. As both of the devices are listed under quarterly update, they will get one more security update this year.

The August 2023 security update is not part of One UI, so don’t expect any new features with the update. However,  the update will provide more strength to the security mechanisms of the Galaxy devices. Additionally, the update may also include some improvements that enhance the overall performance and stability of the devices.

One UI 6.0 will first available for these Samsung Galaxy devices

Samsung has released the Galaxy A14 5G and Galaxy M14 5G early this year; both of the smartphones come with Android 13 preinstalled. Samsung had promised to give at least four years of software update support; these devices will get two major OS updates and some security patches for four years.

The update is now live for the Galaxy A14 5G and M14 5G, so the users who own these devices in India should have received a notification regarding the update availability for their devices. If you haven’t received the notification yet, you can also manually check it from the software update menu by going through system settings.
