One UI 5.1.1 rolls out for Galaxy Tab S7 Series and Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G in the US
Samsung has constantly expanded One UI 5.1.1 in the last few days, and almost all of the eligible Galaxy devices have received the update. But as you know, the US market is divided in terms of updates. Users get new updates according to their network carrier, so now devices like the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S7 are getting the update.
One UI 5.1.1 brings new feature for Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S8+
The One UI 5.1.1 brought many new enhancements for the tablets, from multitasking being greatly improved to being able to switch directly from the popup screen to the split screen by holding down the handle. It also allows you to move the pop-up screen to the side for a while and bring it back easily when you need it. With the S Pen, you can control the minimized apps. In addition, the taskbar can hold the four recent apps, and if you see 7 or fewer icons on the taskbar, then it will automatically adjust to make it easier to select the Home button.
Currently, the carrier-locked Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G, Galaxy Tab S7 5G, and Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G are getting the update on the Verizon network. Users who own Galaxy Tab S8+ devices can identify the latest update by the firmware version number X808USQU4BWH6. The Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ are getting the update with version numbers T878USQU5DWH3 and T978USQU5DWH3, respectively.
As both of the Galaxy devices were listed under quarterly security update, this device is not getting any new security patch and is still coming with the July 2023 patch, which was released a month ago.
The One UI 5.1.1 is now live for Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S8+ devices, so users should get notifications regarding the update on the device; however, if you have not received the notification yet, then you can wait for some time because it takes time to reach every device. Alternatively, you can also check the update by going to the software update menu in system settings.
