Samsung expands September 2023 security update for Galaxy S23 in Canada
Samsung has previously rolled out the One UI 6 beta update to the Galaxy S23 devices in the beta participant countries, and with that update, the company has brought the latest security patch for September 2023 for them. For the non-beta participant countries, the company is gradually expanding the new security patch.
The September security patch is a standard update that doesn’t bring any novelty to the devices. The update aims only to bring enhancements to strengthen the security of the smartphone. For your information, the new security patch includes 60+ patches, where Google has fixed the known bug found in Android OS, and Samsung has exclusively brought some more patches that enhance the functionality of the devices.
Notably, the update is now expanding in Canada. Users who own the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers S911WVLS1AWHF, S916WVLS1AWHF, and S918WVLS1AWHF, respectively. It has a software size of 389.96 MB.
Users who own Galaxy S23 series devices in Canada should start getting new updates on their devices, but it will take some time to reach every device. As usual, you will get a notification wherever the update is available for your devices. Alternatively, you can also check it manually by going to the system settings.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 device is the latest flagship device in the Galaxy S series. It was launched back in February, and since then it has received many new updates. The device will continue to get updates until 2028 by following the current software update policy. Meanwhile, Samsung is also planning to introduce the fan edition model anytime this year.
