Samsung continues to release “intermediate” updates for some of its Android smartphones; this time it’s up to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy A54, which welcome heavy updates with the latest security patches in the United States.
In recent days, some Samsung models have received rather heavy updates with no particular news in terms of visible features, among them the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 series. In these hours, something similar is being distributed for the US carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy A54: in the rollout, there is in fact the firmware F721USQS3DWH9 on T-Mobile and MetroPCS and A546VSQU5AWH8 for the Verizon Galaxy A54 5G model.
These smartphones have already embraced One UI 5.1.1 and are getting the September 2023 security patch. These are upgrades of more than 500MB in weight with improvements and generic improvements that affect the stability and performance of the system. They could include the new features designed for non-foldable smartphones and described in the One UI 5.1.1 update while remaining at One UI 5.1; the timing is in line with the dates communicated.
To update Samsung Galaxy device, you can go to the system settings, following the path “Settings > Software Update > Download and Install“.
