Samsung is constantly rolling out the September 2023 update to Galaxy devices. It is worth noticing that the update has already reached in Europe; however, due to carrier restrictions, Samsung is unable to expand the update to US units. Like now, the Galaxy S22 is getting the update in the US.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Series is now getting the update on the US cellular network; notably, the update is currently available for the locked variant. Users who own the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra can identify the update with firmware version numbers S901USQS3CWH3, S906USQS3CWH3, and S908USQS3CWH3, respectively.
The September 2023 update doesn’t belong to One UI, so do not expect any nobility from the update. It is a standard update that comes as a security patch and fixes more than sixty patches. The update includes some exclusive patches that were added by Samsung.
Moreover, the latest update enhances the overall security of the devices and may also contain some resolutions for several bugs and make the system’s internal functions more stable, so if you want your device to perform well, you should update it to the latest version.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 was launched in 2022. The device comes with Android 12. Later, the device was also updated with some more updates, including One UI 5 and One UI 5.1, which are based on Android 13. The device will get more updates until 2027 because Samsung has promised to give at least five years of software updates.
