The Galaxy S23 FE has been officially announced by Samsung, and the gadget will be launched on October 5. The gadget will be available in two different processors, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the Exynos 2200; however, Samsung will bring its own processor to most of the regions. The Galaxy S23 FE isn’t a flagship like the native Galaxy S23 series, but it seems like Samsung will give it the flagship treatment in terms of Android upgrades. Samsung appears to have stated the Galaxy S23 FE would receive four generations of OS upgrades, which is until 2027. It implies that it will receive Android 14, Android 15, Android 16, and Android 17. This is something of a great update for non-flagship smartphones.
Additionally, those promised updates cover only OS updates, after which customers may get security updates for another one or two years. For customers looking for a phone that they want to use for years to come, the Galaxy S23 FE is the best-suited one. The upcoming FE gadget will come with One UI 5.1-based Android 13 pre-installed. After releasing in a few days, the S23 FE will be the OneUI 6.0-based Android 14 as its first major upgrade. Beginning with Android 14, Samsung will release major Android upgrades up to Android 17 to Galaxy S23 FE owners.
The Galaxy S23 FE will go on sale in certain locations on October 5th, before arriving in the United States on October 26th, with a starting price of $599. The Galaxy S23 FE is priced around $100 less than its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 FE. The gadget will be available in four different hues, including mint, cream, graphite, and purple. Indigo and tangerine colors will be exclusively available on the official Samsung website.
