Galaxy Z Flip 5 gets One UI 6 beta 3 update in Samsung’s home country
Samsung has opened the One UI 6 beta program to several Galaxy devices that belong to different lineups, including the Galaxy S series, Galaxy Z series, Galaxy A series, and this time one device chosen for the Galaxy F series as well. Recently, Samsung distributed the third beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 device, and now it is expanding it to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 as well.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is getting a new beta update with firmware version number ZWJ8. With the latest beta update, Samsung doesn’t bring any new features, but it comes with some fixes that will improve the performance of the functions. Samsung has mentioned one of the fixes in the changelog, which says that it fixed the issue of a black screen when opening the Quick Panel.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 started receiving One UI 6 beta 3 update in the USA
As this is not the last beta update, Samsung has mentioned some known issues that will be fixed by another update. As per the changelog, these are the issues that will be fixed by the next beta update:
- Intermittently effective when shooting camera motion photos is not applicable.
- While receiving a call from the cover screen, open the folder and make a call. The white screen appears intermittently when connected.
- The Quick Panel background appears black intermittently.
- FC occurs when attempting to set a lock screen notification.
- The Samsung Pay hint appears intermittently at the bottom of the lock screen.
Currently, the latest beta update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is limited to South Korea, but it is expected that Samsung will soon expand the update to other countries in the coming days. Additionally, we could see the official One UI 6, which will be first available for Galaxy S23 users; however, there is no exact date revealed, but it is expected that the company will release the update within the month.
