Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 grabs November 2023 update in the US

Samsung has started releasing the new security patch in the form of a November 2023 update. Initially, it introduced the update to the Galaxy S21 series devices in Europe and expanded it to more devices, now spotted for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 devices.

According to the information, the November 2023 security patch doesn’t include any new features for the device, but it comes with a lot of bug fixes that aim to strengthen the security of the devices.

Going into details, the latest security patch brings more than 50 fixes, of which 49 are included by Google and aim to provide better functioning for the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung has also introduced 15 more fixes that are exclusively available for Galaxy devices to improve their security mechanisms.

The November 2023 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is spotted on some carriers for locked variants; for identification, you can check the firmware version of the new software containing F731USQS1AWJ7 as the last four letters. It is expected that the unlocked variants will also grab the update in the coming days.

If you also own a Galaxy Z Flip 5, you can easily update the device by following these steps: Go to the settings, then tap on the software update menu, and finally select the download and install button. Wait for some time, and if it shows a new update available, tap on the download button.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is the latest foldable device from Samsung, which was introduced at the recent Galaxy Unpacked event. The device came with Android 13 and One UI 5.1.1 out of the box, and Samsung has promised to give at least five years of software support for the device; more specifically, it will give four major updates and several security patches for up to five years.
