T-Mobile Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 get stable Android 14 One UI 6.0 update in the USA

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6 update to its eligible devices. In the first phase, it has rolled out the update to the high-end devices, which are included in the Galaxy Z series and Galaxy S series. However,  due to server limitations, the company is still expanding it to the remaining units of these devices.

Now Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are starting to get the One UI 6 update for the T-Mobile locked variants; however, it is not the first carrier that has released the update for devices, but they have already grabbed the update on the Verizon network. If you are also using any of the devices that are affiliated with T-Mobile, then you can easily identify the update by the firmware version numbers F946USQU1BWK9 and F731UQU1BWK9, respectively. It also includes the latest security patch, in the form of November 2023.

The One UI 6 update will bring you all the latest features of Android, which are coming with the fourteenth iteration. Additionally, it will also give you a plethora of new features that are exclusively available on Galaxy devices. For a quick tour, the latest update will bring a lot of new enhancements that are added under different inbuilt applications, including camera, gallery, weather, Samsung Internet, Samsung Keyboard, and many more.

Moreover, the latest update is designed by the company to provide a good experience for Galaxy device users. When you install it on your device, you will find a whole new boost in performance, and with a plethora of new features, you will be able to perform tasks conveniently.

If you are also using any of the devices affiliated with T-Mobile, you can easily download the latest update for your device. You just need to open the system settings, tap on the software update option, select Download and Install, and if new firmware is available, hit the Download button.

  • Renewed phone layout: new control panel, new widgets (new camera and album widgets, weather widgets), revamped font, new emojis, ability to create new stickers directly integrated into the keyboard.
  • Camera: The overall layout of the Camera app has been simplified. The quick settings buttons on the preview screen have been redesigned to make it easier to understand. Now, in the quick settings menu, at the top of the screen, in Photos and Pro mode, there is a button that allows you to quickly change the resolution of the photos you take.
  • New photo editor: improved layout, new Tools menu that makes it easy to find editing functions. The Straighten and Perspective options have been combined in the Transform menu.
  • New Samsung Studio: New Video Editor for media creation. The Studio feature now allows you to create videos by joining those in the gallery, adding text, music, and stickers.
  • Improved security: New privacy dashboard for controlling permission allowed for each app, new Auto-Lock feature that allows you to block installation of unknown apps, turn on security controls, and block commands via USB, the new security dashboard allows you to monitor each individual app.
  • Bixby text call: New Bixby feature, which allows you to transfer an ongoing call to Bixby text call at any time.
  • The new Document and Text Scan feature makes it easier to scan a document by deleting unwanted parts.
  • Samsung Pass: More secure logins with passkeys to access supported apps and websites. Unlike passwords, the passkey is only stored on the device and cannot be disclosed in the event of a breach of the security of the website. Passkeys also protect against phishing attacks because they only work on the website or application where they were registered.
