Xbox branded games could be soon available to Android and iPhones

Microsoft is always known for its PC-friendly OS, Windows, which is still the market leader in terms of its availability of operating devices, including PCs and laptops. However, the company has also tried its best to enter the smartphone market, but it hasn’t been successful. Earlier, it jumped into the gaming market with its own Xbox brand and gained popularity among the gaming community. Now, for more expansion, the company is taking some big steps.

According to reports, the company is working on developing the X Box-branded games store, which will be available on Android and iOS. This is not the first time it is relieved about such a plan, but it has already started giving indications at the time of the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard. At that time, it was supposed that the company would take a couple of years to bring its plans to reality, but it looks like the company may not waste time.

For more confirmation, company official Phil Spencer said that Microsoft is moving ahead with its plans and is also talking to several partners to bring the Xbox games to the store. He further added that the company will launch an Xbox games store on non-Microsoft platforms.

Let us tell you what he actually said during an interview: “It’s an important part of our strategy and something we are actively working on today, not only alone, but talking to other partners who’d also like to see more choice for how they can monetize on the phone… I don’t think this is multiple years away; I think this is sooner than that. We’ve talked about choice, and today, on your mobile phones, you don’t have choice. To make sure that Xbox is not only relevant today but for the next 10–20 years, we’re going to have to be strong across many screens.

However, this also seems possible because Google has also loosened the restriction on Android and started allowing third-party app stores to operate more freely, so this will possibly help Microsoft make its plan come true.
