Verizon rolls out the December 2023 update for Galaxy A12 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the USA

Samsung has started rolling out the December 2023 update for Galaxy devices in several countries, and at the same time, US-based carriers have also started pushing the update to locked devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy A12 as well.

Notably, the Galaxy A12 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 are starting to get new updates on the Verizon network. Users who own the locked variant of these devices can easily identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers F916USQS5KWK1 and A125USQS7CWK6, respectively. It is worth noticing that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has already received the update on some other carriers, and it is expected to be available on more carriers in the coming days.

According to the official page of Verizon, the latest update doesn’t bring any new features or innovations for the devices; with the changelog, it only says that a new security patch has been received, which brings several fixes for improving the internal function of the devices.

Going into detail, the December 2023 update comes with more than 60 fixes, which were added by Google and Samsung, respectively; more specifically, Google has brought 50 fixes that will eradicate the bugs found in the last software updates. Along with these, Samsung has also added 16 fixes that will improve the overall security of Galaxy devices.
