Samsung has started rolling out the January 2024 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 devices, but at the same time, some units of devices belonging to South Korea are still stuck with the November 2023 patch; even the One UI 6.0 doesn’t get expanded to all the devices.

Earlier in December 2023, Samsung rolled out the One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 in several countries, including South Korea, but at that time it was only limited to beta users, and as usual, it was expected to be available for all the users in the next few days, but it didn’t happen till now. Let’s understand the main problem behind it.

Samsung fixes the unwanted issue before expanding the update

Samsung has followed its usual way of bringing the One UI update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 devices, and it has started distributing it to limited users in the first phase. During this distribution, the company has detected an issue in the security patch that arrived with the One UI 6 update.

According to the community manager, Samsung has addressed the issue and is now ready to distribute a new, improved One UI 6 version for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 devices. As far as availability is concerned, it is scheduled to be rolled out today; however, if it takes more time, there is still a high possibility that it will be available to all the units earlier next week.

It is worth noticing that the user who has already grabbed the One UI 6 update will not have to perform any specific tasks to install it, just as you did for the previous update. Just follow the same steps for this one as well.
