After rolling out the January 2024 security patch update to the fourth-generation foldable device, the company has now started expanding it to the latest ones. Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 as well. As of writing, the update for these foldables has been spotted in the US.

Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are spotted receiving the update on some carriers, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, and US Cellular. These devices are getting the update with different version numbers, F946USQS1BWL7 and F731USQS1BWL7, respectively.

January 2024 is the latest security patch, which provides all the latest security enhancements for the devices. According to the official documentation, the latest update for the devices is coming with a total of 80 fixes; of them, 75 are included by Google, while the other 5 are added by Samsung.

Moreover, the latest update will strengthen the overall security of the devices; more specifically, the latest update will also provide some boost to device performance and could enhance stability. In case you are also facing any issues with the previous update, you should update it to the latest firmware version.
