Samsung reportedly planning to launch a affordable version of Galaxy Z Fold 6

Samsung was the only company that was successful in introducing the foldable device and starting a new revolution in the smartphone market. The company started its journey in the foldable segment in 2019 with its first-generation Galaxy Fold. Since then, it has introduced five generations of devices; however, the common thing among them is that these devices are available in the high-end segment, and it is due to the fact that they are always expensive.

Now, with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 devices, Samsung could bring an affordable version as well. According to the report, Samsung may introduce an ‘entry-level’ Galaxy Z Fold 6 later this year. This will be a strategy to move forward in capturing the foldable device market as Chinese phones are facing tough competition with their aggressive pricing.

The report further mentions that, in China, there are multiple companies that have released their own foldable smartphones, including Xiomi, Honor, and Huawei. They are also giving the phone a more affordable range, so to counter these established companies’ foldable devices, Samsung is fully set to introduce its first affordable foldable device.

As of now, there is no name suggested for the device, but as Samsung frequently uses the term FE for affordable flagship devices, it is also expected to be available as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE. As well, it is not confirmed that the company will release the device exclusively for the Chinese market or introduce it worldwide.

If the company wants to expand in the foldable device market, then it should introduce the affordable version to the maximum part of the world because when it becomes available for more users, it will automatically become more popular in a short time, so let’s hope the company doesn’t limit the device to certain regions.
