Now, Samsung has confirmed that it will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite flagship chipset for its upcoming laptop. Meanwhile, during the earnings call for Qualcomm’s Q4 2023, it is confirmed that it is setting up to announce the Snapdragon X Elite in mid-2024. Based on this prospect, it is expected that Samsung’s upcoming laptop with that processor will likely take the floor around the same time.
Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm, has stated that the Snapdragon X Elite will arrive along with a new version of Windows, which can take full advantage of NPU on Qualcomm’s new chip for AI features.
Usually, Samsung wins the race of trying something latest and upgraded for its gadgets since it is one of the first brands to use Qualcomm’s laptop chip, so it is expected that we can expect the first Galaxy Book along with the Snapdragon X Elite chipset to debut by the fourth quarter of this year.
Samsung has a fixed schedule to debut at least one new Galaxy Bool laptop every year, and its most recent laptop powered by a Snapdragon chipset was the Galaxy Book 2 Go 5G, which debuted back in early 2023.
