Samsung is taking steps to expand the mid-range area of its Galaxy smartphones. The brand has already revealed the Galaxy A15 5G and the Galaxy A25 5G, along with the brand new design language featuring the Key Island design.

It appears that the brand is this close to announcing its latest mid-range Galaxy smartphones, which include the Galaxy A35 and the Galaxy A55, and the designs of both smartphones have also leaked through live images.

Recently, live images of the Galaxy A55 have been spotted on TENAA’s certification database in China. In the certification, the model number is revealed, which appears as SM-A5560. In addition to the model number, the certification also reveals its overall design, RAM, storage, and connectivity features.

If the reports are to be believed, the Galaxy A55 will feature a triple camera setup on the rear, brand new ‘Key Island’ design language, flat sides, and curved corners. Moving on to its memory package, it may have up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a dual SIM card slot.

It is expected that the Galaxy A55 will be powered by Android 14 out of the box. Jumping on its hardware specifications, it is expected that it may be powered by an Exynos 1480 processor along with the AMD RDNA-2-based Xclipse 530 GPU and an integrated 5G modem. As per the previous resorts, the Galaxy A55 will have an in-display fingerprint reader, and the camera setup will include a 50MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 5 MP macro camera. On the flip side is a 32 MP selfie camera.

The phone has GPS, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port, and the battery package includes 5,000 mAh. Furthermore, the Galaxy A55 is expected to include stereo speakers and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. The expected upgrade in the Galaxy A55 will be its metal frame instead of plastic. If this expectation comes true, then this will be the first phone in the A series to have a metal frame. At the time, the exact date to launch the Galaxy A55 mid-range device has not been declared by the brand yet, but it is expected that soon it will launch both the mid-range A series’ smartphones.
