Samsung to provide the ability to restore folder settings in Good Lock Home Up

Samsung One UI Home plays an important role in providing several functionalities to arrange the items on the home screen, lock screen, and app screen. It provides the main gateway for accessing the important functions of the Galaxy devices. To support and provide more extensions, one dedicated application, Home Up, is also available.

Home Up is one of the Good Lock applications. It provides several customization features, such as the use of various layouts in the home screen, apps, and folders; diversifying background blur effect pager looping in apps; customizing folder popup styles and layouts; etc. To enhance its abilities, the company frequently rolls out new updates.

However, some of the companies unintendedly removed the basic functions that are loved by users with recent updates; the same happened with the Home Up app. Here we are talking about the folder settings menu, which was removed by the company in the last update. This is due to the wrong assumption of the developers, as they thought this feature was not in use by users, but now, according to the report, the company will introduce it once again.

The official moderator has said, “I decided not to provide it in One UI 6 because I thought there were not many customers who changed the arrangement of icons in a small folder. There are more customers who want this function than we expected, so we changed it to support it again. However, we need an S/W Fota update, so please understand that it may take some time to support.”

We have not confirmed an exact date for availability, but we assume it will be available to the user after the release of the One UI 6.1 update.
