Android enthusiasts are now waiting for the next upgraded bang—obviously, that is Android 15, and Google never disappoints its fans. So now it is setting up to debut its first Android 15 preview, which may be later this week.

It appears that Google is taking steps to expand the major OS era by debuting the first preview of Android 15, and it is being speculated by public-facing comments. Google developer has stated in a comment posted to the Android Open Source Project on Tuesday morning that the first preview of Android 15 is “scheduled for” this Thursday, which is on February 15th.

Also, the developers mentioned it as “Android V,”  obviously, which refers to the release’s internal dessert codename, “Vanilla Ice Cream.”

If the statement mentioned in a comment post comes true, then the Android 15
Developer Preview will arrive just over a week after the debut of Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1. However, as per the comparison of last year’s preview, which debuted within the second week of February on February 8, 2023, this time the brand is a bit late to launch the Android 15 Preview. (Via – 9To5Google)

As usual, Pixel smartphones are eligible for the latest Android’s Developer Preview, so why not for the Android 15 Developer Preview? People who enrolled in beta updates will likely stay on Android 14 for the time being, as “Developer Preview” releases are quite stable and not exactly ready for public use.

One UI 7.0 Will Be Based on Android 15 for Samsung Smartphones

Android 15 Developer Preview is a green siren for the Samsung Galaxy enthusiast, since usually Samsung also debuted its latest UI version after the latest major OS version, which means that at the moment Samsung is driving on the One UI 6.1 version and the next will be One UI 7.0 as expected. So Google is this close to launching its Android 15 Developer Preview and will expand the way gradually to roll it out stably. On the other hand, in order to compete as a strong contender, Samsung may have also initiated an active internal project for the upcoming One UI 7.0 version. However, there is no official information regarding OneUI 7.0, but it is quite possible.
