Google Rolls Out Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1: Early Access to Upcoming Features

Last week, Google released the Android 14 QPR2 Beta 3.2 update, which was limited to the Pixel 5a devices. Now, moving forward, the company has started rolling out a new major update in the form of the Android 14 QPR3 beta 1 update for select pixel devices, including the Pixel 5a, Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel 8 and 8 Pro.

The latest update for the Pixel devices is carrying the version number AP21.240119.009; it also brings the latest security patch in the form of February 2024. With the latest patch, users will get all the updated functionality of the devices, which will strengthen the security.

Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1: what’s new?

As usual, it is a beta update, so there is no new feature that will be available, but it brings some internal fixes that improve several functions, including the ability to search circles. Previously,  it was not available for beta users, but now they will also have access to this feature. However, there are some issues still pending that could be addressed in the next update. Apart from this, the Google Assistant at a Glance widgets are also facing some issues as they sometimes display weather information for the wrong location. The update is available for all the above-mentioned Pixel devices, but you have to enroll in the beta program to get the update.
