February 2024 Security Update Expands to More Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 Devices
Samsung has recently rolled out the February 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the US. With the new expansion, the company has started rolling out the update for the devices in Europe.
Users who own the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers F946BXXS1BXBE and F731BXXS1BXBE. The update was spotted in Germany, and it is expected to be available in more countries in the next few hours.
For your information, the latest update is coming with the February 2024 security update, which will provide several new security patches that are included by Google and Samsung. There are more than 60 fixes from them; there are 61 fixes added by Google; and Samsung has added 8 fixes, which bring some new features.
Moreover, the update is just a simple security patch, which doesn’t bring any innovation but may provide some new improvements under the internal settings, so if you are also the one who is facing some issues, then you have to update your device, so it may address the issue.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 back in 2023 with the dedicated Galaxy Unpacked event. These devices come in Android 13. Later, it has grabbed the update in the form of Android 14. As you know, these devices are eligible to get software updates for five years, so they will receive three more major updates and security updates until 2028.
