Samsung Sweeps DxOMark Display Rankings with Entire Galaxy S24 Lineup
Undoubtedly, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is one of the most premium ones yet in the entire Galaxy series, but that doesn’t mean that its siblings, the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24, are not on the list.
Since the Galaxy S24 Ultra has already gone through lots of testing, we know that it’s strong enough and worth its price tag. But what about the Plus and Base variants of the series? Are they also worth their price tags or not? So to clear up this confusion, DxOMark has conducted a test to check how premium the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 smartphones are.
As per the reports from DxOMark, the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 are quite close to the Galaxy S24 Ultra in display’s prospect, which means that both smartphones follow closely behind the Galaxy S24 Ultra along with the best displays on the market.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is the topper in the testing of DxOMark, with 155 scores, the best score in the motion category, and remarkable results in the rest of the things as well as touch categories that also evaluate response. The site’s experts especially rate highly the readability of the screen in sunlight scenarios, whereas the Corning Gorilla Glass Armor improves the management of reflections, the accurate color rendering, and the excellent handling of the frame mismatch with any kind of video or game. The cons refer to the excessive brightness delivered while watching videos in dark scenarios, the lack of brightness and detail in some indoor scenes, along with the artificial lighting and poor handling of unintentional touches.
Moving to the Galaxy S24, it takes the stick for the best display in the premium range, and noticeably, the score is the same as the Galaxy S24+, which is 154. The pros and cons shown by DxOMark are similar to those of its predecessor, along with remarkable readability outdoors and exact color rendering in most conditions, in the face of perhaps excessive brightness in dark environments.
However, the brand itself also takes too much care to enhance the users’ visual experience, for which it offers dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with full HD+ or QHD+ resolution along with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and peak brightness of 2600 nits. The smartphones get 154 and 155 scores in the display category, allowing the new smartphone to be compared to the Korean giants to best gadgets, for instance, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 that scores 152, the Google Pixel Fold that scores 151, and the Honor Magic 5 Pro that scores 151 and more. Basically, while the overall analysis of the site had nothing to do with the display issue, that appeared to plague a few units of the latest Galaxy S24 lineup.
