Galaxy S22 getting February 2024 security update in Europe

Samsung has been rolling out the February 2024 security update for Galaxy devices since the first week of the month. By continuing the speed, it is regularly expanding the update to more Galaxy devices. Moving forward, the Galaxy S22 devices are also starting to get new security patch updates.

Notably, the Galaxy S22 is spotted getting the February 2024 security patch update in Europe; however, currently, the update is limited to some countries, but later it will be available to install in more countries in the coming days. Users who own the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers S901BXXS7DXAC, S906BXXS7DXAC, and S908BXXS7DXAC, respectively.

The Galaxy S22’s most recent update includes the latest security maintenance for the devices. There are more than 60 fixes introduced under the new update. With these patches, the update is aiming to address some of the known bugs that were found in the earlier update. From these patches, there are 58 high-risk security vulnerabilities and 3 moderate security issues addressed, so if you want to get high security on your device, then you should update your device to the latest software version.

To take advantage of the new update, you have to update your device to the latest version. To do that, just tap on the notification if you got the update-related notification, or you can also go manually to the software update menu via system settings. If you haven’t received the update yet, then you have to wait for some time, as it may take some time to reach every unit of the devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 was launched in 2022. The device came with Android 12 preinstalled. Later, it received two major updates in the form of Android 13 and Android 14, and according to the policy, the device will get two more major updates in the future. If we talk about the next significant update, then it is about to get the One UI 6.1 update in the next couple of weeks.
