Samsung is expanding the features and facilities of its next-generation foldables to enhance the user’s experience. This time, the foldable enthusiast will see a change in the panel. Check out the article for detailed information.

Samsung Display has officially announced that its 7-inch foldable panel has completed the demanding MIL-STD 810G test, which is used in the latest generation of foldable smartphones. Basically, MIL-STD-810G is the US Department of Defense Test Method Standard, Environmental Engineering Consideration, and Laboratory Tests.

Actually, by this certification, the Samsung Display foldable panel continued to function as usual even after facing extreme scenarios; for instance, with a 6 mm-thick layer of ice-formed on its exterior after water spraying at -10 °C, it will continue to work normally even after 4 hours.

Not only this, but it also bears up against temperatures ranging from -32°C to +63°C for 2 hours each, repeated three times over 12 hours without performance degradation. The panel also passed the rigorous shock tests, during which it faced 26 drop tests from 1.22 meters, a mock-up of real-world smartphone usage scenes.

Through high-speed rotations, it also bears up against different forces up to 10.5 times gravity through high-speed rotations; this is just to make use of its ability to handle intense external actions without even any issues.
