Samsung brings February 2024 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 2
In the last couple of weeks, Samsung has rolled out the February 2024 security patch update to several high-end devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and many more moving forward. The company has now rolled out the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has started getting a new update in South Korea. The update is coming with the firmware version number F916NKSS2KXB1. The latest update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 only brings some security-related enhancements for the devices. It is expected to be available in more countries in the next few days.
Going into details, the latest update for these devices is getting more than 60 fixes, which will improve the overall security of the devices. There are 61 fixes introduced by Google that mainly address issues related to the Android OS. While other 8 fixes are introduced by Samsung, which exclusively address issues related to Galaxy devices,.
Moreover, the update sometimes brings some new innovations under the internal functions, which make the working of the devices more smooth. If you are also facing some issues, then you can also update the device to the latest version.
To do that, just go to the software update option through main system settings, tap on download and install, wait until it finishes searching, and if it shows a new update available, tap on the update button.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 device was launched back in 2020; it came with Android 10, which later grabbed three more major updates in the form of Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13 sequentially. Now the device is no longer eligible to get any major updates, but it is still eligible to get some more updates in the form of security patch updates.
