Samsung Pass Fingerprint Login Disappearing for Some Users

A couple of Samsung Pass users are claiming logging issues due to a bug that stops the fingerprint authentication pop-up from showing.

One can easily find tons of password manager applications scattered across the web. Whereas the Samsung Galaxy device owners have a first-party solution for performing this task named Samsung Pass.

The Korean giants introduced the ‘Samsung’ Wallet, which combined features of Samsung Pass and Pay. Noticeably, Pass is still available for password management on Galaxy smartphones. A couple of Galaxy owners are reporting issues regarding the app not easily permitting them to log in.

As per the user on Reddit and reports, it has come to light that Samsung Pass is not working fluently on Galaxy phones, and the fingerprint authentication pop-up menu also fails to appear while the user tries to access Samsung Pass. Whereas the app should display a fingerprint authenticate pop-up, it is showing a completely black screen, which is creating a kind of inconvenience to the users in placing their finger on it for authentication.

Most of the Reddit users have reported that a similar issue appears on their Galaxy phones. This Samsung Pass bug does not appear to be related to a particular device, and a few Galaxy devices, such as the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S23+, are facing the issue. The reports are saying that this has not been able to replicate the bug on the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Ultra, and Galaxy S24, which means it could only be restricted to a few users.

Noticeably, by restarting the phone, the trouble gets resolved, and the app starts working normally.
