Welcome to the new era of ‘’Mobile AI’’! Here we are discussing or comparing the AI features of two devices: the Galaxy S24 and the Pixel 8

Samsung, back in January 2024, debuted its Galaxy AI features with the Galaxy S24. On the other side, Google Pixel 8 launched in October 2023 and brought a bundle of AI features. Both smartphones have a powerful package of AI features.

  • Google’s Pixel 8’s AI features are powered by the Google Tensor G3 chipset, which takes on all the load of advanced AI as well as ML capabilities.
  • The Galaxy S24’s AI features include real-time translation and interpretation.

Pixel 8 arrived before the Galaxy S24 smartphone, and both of them feature bundles of AI features, so here we are comparing the AI features of both smartphones to make sure which one has the better, more, and upgraded AI features. Let’s get started.

Samsung Galaxy S24 AI Features:

  • Chat Assist: Samsung offers a Chat Assist feature that is combined into the Samsung Keyboard application. It provides a variety of functionalities. Basically, this feature helps to correct tone so that one can make itself more presentable to the people he is texting.
  • Live Translate: This is one of the most convenient features, especially for international trips and traveling. It permits the users to make a call to someone who is speaking an unknown language. In the scenario, when one person speaks, their words are translated into the other person’s language. It supports 13 languages and 17 dialects.
  • Note Assist: This feature offers AI-generated summaries, translations, and file formatting within the Notes app of Samsung. This will surely take note-taking experience to the next level. It suggests smart replies as well, which permit users to respond to messages with voice commands for sending informative auto-generated replies.
  • Circle to Search: This feature is also available on Google Pixel 8. One can circle, highlight, scribble, or tap on any part of an image, video, or text, and this feature helps by instantly triggering a relevant Google search.
  • AI Photo-Editing Features: These features enhance the users editing experience as per their convenience without even any effort. Basically, this analyzes the photo and provides some suggestions to enhance it.
  • Wallpaper Generator: With this feature, the brand permits users to select certain wallpaper templates and generate new wallpapers based on their inputs and suggestions.

So, these are the Galaxy AI features that arrive with the Galaxy S24 series and unleash new ways to create, connect, and more.

Now let’s take a closer look at the AI features available on Google’s Pixel 8 smartphone.

Google Pixel 8 AI Features:

  • Magic Editor: Basically, this is the superpowered version of Magic Eraser, which permits you to move objects around and change the color of an object, such as the sky, sea, clouds, and more. By doing so, you can also apply fancy stylized effects to enhance an image without the need for advanced tools like Photoshop.
  • Magic Audio Eraser: This is also not available on Galaxy S24 smartphones. This AI feature helps in identifying background noise in videos and permits users to remove unwanted sounds with a swipe. It’s a handy tool for those situations where the wind blanks out the voice while providing commentary.
  • Best Take: Simple just enhances the face editing; it is a kind of AI face editor that is absent in the Galaxy S24. This feature changes a subject’s face in a group image by selecting an option made available from expressions generated from other images.
  • Recorded with Summarise: Google offers exclusive to Pixel phones one of the best recording and transcription experiences among any voice recorder application on the Google Play Store.
  • Video Boost: This feature helps while recording a video; the phone stores it as a temporary video file. Video Boost uses this file to make a boosted video. Although users can save video to the cloud, Google will use AI tools to enhance the video by means of color corrections, contrast, brightness, and many more, then save it back to the phone.
  • Circle to Search: The same features are available on the Galaxy S24 series’ smartphones. This AI feature on the Pixel 8 smartphone uses the Google Lens app to run a search with a simple gesture.

So these are some of the dedicated and most notable AI features available on the Galaxy S24 and Google Pixel 8, respectively. Both devices have totally different AI features; some of the Galaxy S24’s AI features are absent on the Google Pixel 8, and vice versa. And a few of the same AI features are available on both devices, but with different identities.

Galaxy S25 Ultra Rumors Hint at No Battery or Charging Upgrades

Published

Samsung has kept the same battery capacity for the flagship devices while also sticking to the same fast charging speed. If we look at the Galaxy S Ultra devices from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the company has stuck with 45 W charging and the same 5000 mAh battery. According to the latest report, the Galaxy S25 Ultra may also use the same battery and specifications.

Previous, it was rumored that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could be equipped with stacked battery technology, which could lead to maximizing the component cost, but now, according to an X user named Sawyer Galox, it is reported that the Korean giant will skip this hardware change on the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra to save on component cost.

Along with this, the tipster also expressed his disappointment with Samsung’s take on the unchained hardware. He adds that users who want to buy the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra should keep their expectations low with the battery performance, as Samsung will keep the specs the same with the 500mAh battery and the 45W.

However, the company will also introduce its latest device with new chipsets that may provide improved optimization, which may provide some long-lasting battery life, but it will not provide any improvement in charging.

Samsung is preparing to introduce its next-generation foldable device, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, given that the new smartphones in the Z lineup typically launch between July and August, some rumors suggest that the company might host the next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024. Despite the date being more than three months away, numerous details have surfaced online.

According to recent reports, Samsung plans to implement its dual chipset strategy for the foldable, mirroring the Galaxy S series lineup, where some models of the Galaxy S base and Galaxy S+ devices feature Snapdragon, while in other markets, they feature Exynos.

The next foldable lineup rumoured to come with multiple chipsets; for example, the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s last Geekbench listing showed that it has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. However, this processor is already one year old, so there are fewer expectations that it could be available in the main models. However, if a rumor proves to be accurate, it could potentially be available for the FE variant of the devices.

For your information, the rumors have revealed that Samsung could introduce two new versions of the foldable devices with the brand names ‘FE’ and ‘Ultra‘, so to make the difference, it may introduce them in separate chipsets. If it provides the older chipset for the FE version, then it will be successful in cost-cutting and releasing the device at a low cost.
