Unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 started getting March 2024 update in the US

Samsung is constantly rolling out the March 2024 security patch update for eligible Galaxy devices. The company has already distributed the update to many devices, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, etc. Yes, the fifth generation of Galaxy Foldable has already grabbed the update in the US on the locked versions, and now the unlocked variants have also started getting new updates.

The carrier-unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are getting a March 2024 security update with the firmware version numbers F946U1UES2BXBE and F731U1UES2BXBE, respectively. The latest update for the device doesn’t bring any new features, but it will provide some enhancements to the system.

According to the official documentation, the March 2024 security patch update brings more than 40 fixes, whereas Google has brought 37 patches that address the security vulnerabilities regarding the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung has also introduced nine exclusive fixes that provide more improvements to the devices.

Moreover, the update may also bring some new improvements related to the functioning of the UI. It may also address some issues that are harming the device’s performance, so if you are also dealing with such issues, then you should update your device to the latest update.

If you are using the Galaxy Z Fold 5 or Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the US, then you can now easily update your device to the latest version by going to the system settings, then tapping on the software update menu. Here, you have to wait until it finishes searching. If an update is available, then tap on the download button.
