Carrier-unlocked Galaxy S22 getting March 2024 update in the US

Last week, the locked version of the Galaxy S22 Series received the March 2024 security patch update. Now, Samsung has started sending the same update to the unlocked units of Galaxy S22 devices in the US. It is worth noticing that this time the update arrived at the same time in the US, even after the carrier restrictions.

Notably, the unlocked versions of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra have started getting new updates with the firmware version numbers S908U1UES4DXB5, S908U1UES4DXB5, and S908U1UES4DXB5, respectively.

The March 2024 security patch is one of the security maintenance updates that is introduced by Google to every Android device. The main aim of the update is to protect the devices from harmful external threats, and when Google sends the new patch update to different OEMs, they also add some extra improvements. 

Samsung has also included nine more fixes for the Galaxy devices exclusively. With these fixes, the Korean giant has brought several new fixes for the devices, which have addressed several sensitive security vulnerabilities.

Moreover, the latest update will also provide some extra fixes that will surely improve the overall performance of the devices. In case you are having any issues, you should update the device to the latest version; it may fix the issues. To update your device to the latest version, you just need to go to the system settings, wait until it finishes searching, and if it shows the update available, tap on the download button.
