Samsung could use fastest of UFS 4.0.4 Storage on the Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung is actively working on its next-generation ‘S’ series Galaxy smartphone, the Galaxy S25, as rumors and leaks are continuously unveiling something regarding the Galaxy S25.

The Korean giants are busy with the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is supposed to be held in the second week of July 2024, as already reported. On the other hand, tipsters and analysts are unveiling more about the Galaxy S25 before any official announcement, which will debut in 2025.

It has already been reported that this time Samsung will offer new main photo sensors, possibly to revolutionize the design (display size) of the Galaxy S25 series. Even this also rumored what the chipset should be for the Ultra model of the range.

Apart from this, let’s take a closer look at what new features, specs, or other improvements could arrive with the Galaxy S25 series.

If the rumors are to be believed, Samsung is gearing up to implement the new generation of RAMs (DRAM modules along with LPDDR6 technology) on the phones in the Galaxy S25 series to guarantee better performance for the devices in question from multiple points of view.

For a few years, the Korean giants have been using the same UFS 4.0 memories on their high-end smartphones, but the reports are indicating that this time the giants decided to jump on to the next generation, although the brand itself has shared the roadmap of its plans for the next generation of UFS solutions. The reports have already reported that Samsung intends to roll out CS 4.0 4-lane UFS, which has the power to enhance speeds from around 4GB per second to 8 GB per second, next year ahead of moving to UFS 5.0 in 2027.

The Korean brand has also pointed out that the 4-lane UFS 4.0 memory intrigues two UFS controllers for faster sequential read speeds. However, it could be planned to use the new storage memories already on the device in the Galaxy S25 series.

Apart from the enhancement in reading and writing speeds, the 4-lane UFS 4.0 memory is expected to offer enhancements in load times and on-device AI apps to get an edge in the AI market. However, it is not pretty confirmed that Samsung will be able to integrate the new memories on the next-generation Galaxy S25.
