Galaxy S25 Might Feature Next-Gen Snapdragon Processor

Samsung is still relying on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset! The hot question among Galaxy fans is whether Samsung will bring back the Exynos chipset for its Galaxy S25 series or not.

Previously, it was reported that, deep down, Samsung is deciding to bring back the Exynos chipset for its next-generation Galaxy S25 series. But now recent reports are revealing that Samsung has not fully agreed to go with in-house Exynos as yet.

After the collaboration of Samsung and Qualcomm, the Korean giants relied on the Snapdragon chipset, which we have already seen in the Galaxy S23 series, but later, with the Galaxy S24 series, they brought back Exynos with Base and Plus variants of the Galaxy S24 series in particular regions.

As per the previous reports, it was expected that Samsung could go with an in-house Exynos 2500 chipset for the Galaxy S25 series, and that is considerably better as compared to previous iterations, with the brand setting up a separate team to optimize the next high-end chip. It was also expected that this time Samsung is actively trying hard to upgrade the optimization and efficiency of the Exynos 2500 in regions where its chipsets have traditionally lagged behind their Snapdragon counterparts from Qualcomm.

The latest news suggests that again, Samsung is doing the same thing by going with two different chipsets, usually the Snapdragon and Exynos, which we are already familiar with and come to expect from its high-end series.

Although, at the moment, it has not been officially confirmed yet whether the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 process will only be limited to the ultra variant of the Galaxy S25 series or if the rest of the variant will also be available in some particular regions, the same as its predecessor.
