Samsung has started rolling out the June 2024 security update to many Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23Galaxy Z Fold 5Galaxy Z Flip 5, and many more. Now,  continuing the update, the company has expanded the update to the Galaxy S22 devices.

Notably, Samsung has already rolled out the June 2024 security patch for the Galaxy S22 devices in Europe, and now, with the latest development, it has made it available to US units. In detail, the update is spotted for the Verizon network. Users who own the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers S901USQS5EXE3, S906USQS5EXE3, and S908USQS5EXE3. It is expected that the company will expand the update to include more carriers.

The June 2024 security update is part of the Google security maintenance program, where the search giant addresses security-related issues through monthly updates. However,  as this update does not directly go to all Android devices, OEMs can add some more changes and optimizations to make it available for their devices. But most of the time, it does not bring any significant changes to the devices.

If you are using the Galaxy S22 locked device in the US, you can now update the latest update by following the simple steps: Go to the system settings. For the software update menu, select “download and install” to check for the update, and if available, click on the download button.
